Family Matters

So this week I have had the chance to get back to the roots of my family.  My Uncle Kevin, from my mother's side, passed away and we gathered in Lovell, Wyoming to celebrate his life.  Getting together as a HUGE family shows me how much we are alike.  It brings back the love of the country and the closeness of the family.  We all got together at Grandma's old house, now Geraldine and Kevin's house, to have Geraldine's famous, family scones and we will have a cousins game night tomorrow before Howard, Chris, and I head back down to Utah.  If we could, we would move here in a minute and just forget about all our troubles.  There are really only two maybe three things that are keeping my parents from moving back here.  The first is my grandma.  My  Grandma Spitzenberger is 93, has had many different cancers for the last 20 plus years, lives at home by herself, and is still kicking.  My dad will not move until she passes.  The second is my dad needs to retire so they can afford to just forget about life and have a good time serving the Lord.  Then the third kind of goes along with being able to move.  They have to sell the house, which is a feat in itself.  My mom keeps trying to get me to move home so that I can help get the house ready, but that isn't happening.  At least not at this time in my life.  Well this has been a lesson from Dr. Lauri.  Have pleasant dreams!

My New Blog

Today I thought I would join the fun world of blogging.  Actually Tawnya is forcing me.  She punched me in the arm so many times, I am bruised from shoulder to hand.  I am still trying to work on her anger issues (not to mention, her need to control my life).  On a lighter note,
I am working at Jordan Hills Elementary, and I pretty much do whatever other people don't get done.  I am applying to grad school to become a school psychologist.  Tawnya has me studying for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) in my spare time.
