My roommate Harward (a.k.a. Heather) had her birthday on April 13th. She
asked me and my roommate Birkrem (a.k.a. Bryana) to take work off that day so we could spend the day together. First she wanted to go hiking so we went up to Ensign Peak. It had rained the whole night so it was very muddy, but totally fun. Here are some pictures of our travels.

This is Harward and I about 5 minutes into the hike. We were taking a break cause we were totally out of breathe. We are eating fruit snacks and pretzels. Birkrem says we are tired cause we are so old, but turns out I am the youngest. :)

This is the funniest part of the hike... So I was wearing the pants that I wanted to wear the rest of the day, so since it was very muddy out I had to roll the legs up and walk very carefully. Well turns out this hike happened to be kind of steep and when you mix steep with mud it doesn't look pretty. This picture is of me determined to not get my pants dirty as I slipped from the other side of the trail, started running/sliding down the hill to get to the other side. I did everything in my power to stay off my knees, butt, or any part of my pants! I ended up with my backpack over my head, and my hands in the snow, but that was no big deal. At least my pants stayed clean! :)Thanks for a great day off of work Harward! Totally worth every laugh!
